Barbara Kaplan was Managing Director of Human Resources for two major financial companies, UBS and Citigroup. At UBS, she executed strategic human resources initiatives for clients in Wealth Management Americas. At Citigroup, she was HR Head for Global Transaction Services, a business in over 100 countries. She provided all strategic HR services for this 9.6B business from 2002 to 2009. Previous roles include global generalist responsibilities for Corporate Banking, Operations and Technology and Global Markets. Specialist roles include Leadership, Staffing and Development and Corporate Employee Relations. She started her Human Resources career at Dean Witter Reynolds. She was also Head Teacher and Administrator at Copenhagen International School.
Barbara currently combines her Human Resources experience and her teaching experience into a new role in a non-profit organization. In this role she has the opportunity to work with families in need in the local Montclair and surrounding communities by providing academic and social services. In addition, she helps Succeed2gether, a non-profit foundation, develop routines and protocols by documenting processes, practices in administration, talent acquisition and organization design. She documents successful academic programs in order to expand and leverage them in other communities.
